Course Description
Turn imagination into real creations with building blocks — even K3 children can become little engineers!
Through RoboCode's Jimu Robotics course, children learn to use building blocks, motors and electronic components to create a variety of mechanical projects. Each lesson begins with a different project theme. Children first explore the appearance and mechanical structure of the project, then build it step by step before using coding to control motors and electronic components, adding movements and interactive effects that bring their designs to life.
From designing and building to coding, testing and improving, children do more than simply complete a mechanical project. They gradually develop an understanding of mechanical structures and coding concepts while strengthening their hands-on skills, problem-solving abilities and creative thinking.
What Will Your Kids Learn?
- Develop observation and imagination skills by designing the appearance, structure and functions of a project, and gradually turning ideas into complete mechanical design sketches
- Understand the characteristics of different building blocks, motors and electronic components, develop basic mechanical building skills, and transform designs into three-dimensional mechanical creations
- Learn the fundamentals of programming motors and electronic components, use commands to control movements and interactive effects, and test and adjust projects to complete designed tasks
RoboCode Uniqueness
Cultivating Independent Thinking and Unleashing Creativity
Every child has unique observational and creative abilities. The class helps them develop independent thinking and the courage to try, allowing them to assemble unique projects based on their ideas.
Exploring Learning Goals and Completing Projects
Each class has specific topics and learning goals. Through step-by-step practice and exploration, children complete a fully independent project in every session.
Bridging to Advanced Learning and Developing Programming Skills
Jimu's programming interface and concepts are similar to other platforms, allowing children to easily transition to more advanced learning, aiding in the comprehensive development of their programming skills.
Our Curriculum
Level 1 - Explore Jimu Building Blocks and Mechanical Structures, and Learn the Basics of Building and Motor Control
Develop essential building skills by first exploring the appearance and structure of a project, then using different building components to construct it step by step. Children then use coding to control movements and bring their design ideas to life.
- Observe and identify the key visual and structural features of each project, and explore the characteristics and applications of building blocks and motors
- Develop basic mechanical structure and building skills to turn designs into complete mechanical creations
- Learn basic coding and motor control, using commands to control the movements of each project
Level 2 - Explore Electronic Components and Create Interactive Mechanical Projects
Building on basic mechanical construction and motor control, children add outputs such as lights and sounds, and use coding to control movements and interactive effects to create mechanical projects with a wider range of functions.
- Strengthen building skills by creating mechanical projects with more complex structures
- Explore the functions and operation of electronic components, adding lights, sounds and interactive effects to projects
- Combine programming commands with motors and electronic components to control how projects operate and create a wider range of interactive functions
