Jimu Robotics
(Advanced)
Combine mechanical design, sensors and coding to explore different ways of detecting the surrounding environment. Through programming, children create logic and responses that enable interactive mechanical projects to operate automatically under different conditions.

Course Description
From mechanical building to sensor-based interaction, P1–P2 children can become little robotics engineers!
Through RoboCode's Jimu Robotics course, children use building blocks, motors, sensors and electronic components to create a variety of mechanical projects. Sensors are used to detect environmental changes such as light levels, distance, touch, colour and sound. Children then combine sensor inputs with programming commands and conditional logic to design mechanical projects that respond automatically to different situations.
From designing the functions of a project and selecting suitable components to programming, testing and adjusting, children gradually develop an understanding of sensor applications and coding concepts. They learn to analyse problems, develop solutions and transform their ideas into complete interactive mechanical projects.
What Will Your Kids Learn?
- Understand mechanical structures and develop building skills by combining building blocks, motors and electronic components to create mechanical projects with a range of functions
- Understand the characteristics and operation of different sensors, and learn to select suitable sensors according to the functions of each project to detect changes in the surrounding environment
- Develop programming skills by using conditional logic and programming commands to design how projects operate, then test and adjust them to complete designed tasks
RoboCode Uniqueness
Cultivating Independent Thinking and Unleashing Creativity
Every child has unique observational and creative abilities. The class helps them develop independent thinking and the courage to try, allowing them to assemble unique projects based on their ideas.
Exploring Learning Goals and Completing Projects
Each class has specific topics and learning goals. Through step-by-step practice and exploration, children complete a fully independent project in every session.
Bridging to Advanced Learning and Developing Programming Skills
Jimu's programming interface and concepts are similar to other platforms, allowing children to easily transition to more advanced learning, aiding in the comprehensive development of their programming skills.
Our Curriculum
Level 1 - Explore Sensor Applications and Use Coding to Create Interactive Mechanical Projects
Explore how different sensors and electronic components work. Children learn to use sensor readings and trigger conditions to control their projects, combining them with outputs such as motors, lights and sounds to create mechanical projects that can sense and respond to their surroundings.
- Integrate sensors into mechanical structures and combine them with building blocks and motors to create interactive projects
- Explore infrared, touch and light sensors, and understand different sensing methods and their practical applications
- Learn to read sensor inputs and set trigger conditions, using programming to make projects perform specific actions
Level 2 - Combine Sensors and Programming Logic to Create Smarter Mechanical Projects
Integrate multiple sensing and control functions within a single project while introducing more advanced programming concepts. Children design complete operational logic to take on more challenging interactive tasks
- Take on mechanical projects with more complex structures and functions by integrating building blocks, motors and multiple electronic components
- Combine multiple sensors, sensor inputs and trigger conditions to design more sophisticated interactive functions
- Explore advanced programming concepts such as variables and repeat until, combining them with different commands to create more versatile project features
